We travel a lot around the UK and other parts of the world and this was honestly the most crispy, delicious, non-oily fish and chips I’ve ever had. Beautiful flavor, crunchy batter, tasty mushy peas and wonderful curry sauce. 100/10 will be back again!
Born and bred in Redcar but now live away. Only eat fish and chips when back visiting family so they have to be good as they’re a real treat. Olivers did not disappoint and deserves high praise for its sit down cafe. Nice atmosphere, fish fresh, batter light and chips well cooked. Really nice mushy peas. Service quick and good selection of drinks, including craft beers. Will definitely return on next trip.
Enjoyed good fish and chips following a walk on the beach. Staff were friendly, restaurant clean, and I could see they were very supportive with older guests.
We called in at Olivers when we visited Redcar for the day. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help us. The atmosphere was brilliant and the food was excellent to. If you don't want to eat in they have a takeaway outside where you can enjoy the same quality of food to take away. Prices are good value for money.
Popped in with my nephew for the first time today and we will definitely be back! Great food, plenty of choice and lovely batter on fish and not at all greasy. Restaurant itself was lovely and clean, bright and comfortable and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
Stopped by for chips on a day trip to Redcar. This place is obviously good because the queue to sit in and eat was quite big for a cold March Sunday. We did takeaway over the road. This was equally busy but the staff are excellent at getting orders out quickly so the wait wasn't too long. The chips were to die for. Will definitely come back here next time we're in Redcar. They have vegetable oil frying days too.
