Welcome to Oliver’s Fish ‘n’ Chip Takeaway (01642 494339-8pm) & Restaurant (01642 477520-5pm), serving what we firmly believe to be the best fish ‘n’ chips on the entire North-East coast!

We are family run business owned by Michael and Helen Roberts, proud co-owners of Oliver’s – the business we were inspired to rename following the birth of Oliver. Oliver’s Papa (Michael) has over twenty years of experience of the Fish & Chip Industry and of operating in the Redcar, Marske and Guisborough area.

Based on Bath Street, sandwiched between Redcar High Street and the sea front, close to the town’s Water Fountains and The Palace Hub. With a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, our Takeaway is a big hit with locals and day-trippers alike. We have a wide selection of food items and meal deals to take your fancy, alongside a large selection of cold and hot drinks.

Oliver’s is our pride and passion - having learned the skill of frying from his father, Michael is a passionate fryer. We believe our fish – with its light, crispy batter – is unique. Our aim is to provide our customers with nothing less than the best fish and chips not only in Redcar, but along the entire North-East coast.

All of our Cod and Haddock is sourced from sustainable and well managed fishing grounds and we are the only Takeaway and Restaurant in Teesside to be MSC Certified - make sure to check out the ‘blue fish’. Oliver’s serves fish of the finest quality, which is prepared on site daily and cooked fresh to order in the highest-quality beef dripping.

But we don’t just do fish ‘n’ chips!

The Oliver’s menu also includes British classics such as Fish Patties, Fishcakes (homemade), Spam Fritters, Sausages and Burgers. We also supply the fabulous award-winning Pie Jacker Pies (Hot Shot Chicken/ Steak & Guiness/ Beef in Red Wine) and a variety of children’s meals to excite the younger taste buds.

WE NOW CATER FOR VEGETARIANS & PESCATARIANS - we have allocated pans and serving hatches where you can be at ease that no cross-contamination will occur, all items from the vegetarian menu are cooked to order and we do ask for your patience during busier times.  This is available within the Restaurant and Takeaway every day, so do let the crew know of your requirements and we will suit to your needs as quickly as possible.
